MY BIRTHDAY ON A RESURRECTION SUNDAY
Jesus Christ died for my sins
over 2000 years ago. He that knew no sin was made sin because of me. He was
bruised for my iniquities, wounded for my transgression and chastised that I
may have peace. He was humiliated and mocked by the multitudes and Pilate’s
guards. He was crucified on the cross like a common thief. And during his travails
on the cross he did not curse his persecutors. For this purpose was he come
that through His death we might be reconciled to GOD. What a glorious moment Hallelujah!
Death as we know is the most
powerful force the earth has ever known. It is the end of human existence. It
is the dotage of every endeavor, achievement, celebration, excitement, strife;
challenge….It is the end of everything. But Jesus Christ said that “I come that
you may have life and have it more abundantly”. It is only Christ that was able
to overcome death and no wonder why He said after his resurrection that “all
powers in heaven and in earth have been given to me…”Therefore, if you believe
in his resurrection “though you die you shall live again and if you live you
shall not die again”.
How beautiful to know that my
birthday coincided with the resurrection of Jesus Christ this year. Having left
university four years ago, and is still searching for fulfillment of purpose
and dreams. Earnestly expecting the manifestation of my kingship. This time no
doubt is the right moment to step into the world confidently being aware of His
powers that works within me. This is because I crave for the same power that
raised Jesus Christ from death. Paul wrote, “That I may know him and the power
of his resurrection”.
The power of resurrection is
the most radical force I had ever experienced.
It is a power that sets
things in motion. A power that bulldozes every barrier; every stumbling block;
every barricade; every forces that have held you captive; every army that have
laid siege in your gate; every man or woman that have sat on your progress;
every limiting belief…. Allow that same power that raised Jesus from the dead
to come in and turn around your situation. Let that power come in and resurrect
every delayed destiny in your life. Welcome that power for a radical
transformation of your purpose in life.
Indeed this year birthday is
and will remain the most significant in my life. For it came at a time when I needed
a lifting hand. A time when I needed somebody to tell me I can still realize my
potentials. You may not know me now, but I tell you, when you will be hearing
the result of my partnership with the power of resurrection you will certainly
remember this story and wished you had the grace that transformed me. The truth
however is that this grace is not for sale. You too can share it with me
especially on a special day like this (My Birthday on a Resurrection Sunday).I
am excited.
